December’s featured artist is SAGE DYE, a multimedia artist and Midwest transplant originally from Portland, Oregon. Her multidisciplinary work has been shown across the world in spaces such as LVL 3, Co-Prosperity, Hawthorne Contemporary, Jardin des Tuileries, and Comfort Station. SAGE received her Masters in Fashion, Body and Garment the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2023 under the mentorship of artist Nick Cave. Alongside owning and running Coatrack Vintage & Repair, SAGE collaborates with artist Daniel Bortz on the project Time Change Generator on an on-going basis as of spring 2025.
SAGE typically creates highly tactile works that facilitate questions about the power of shared identity and community in a world that is increasingly hyper individualistic and anti-social. This is SAGE’s first presentation of photo and prints, inspired by her home of Kent, OH and the rich wilderness of the area. Join us Sunday for SAGE’s Solo Exhibition Reception at the brewery, 12/14 from 5-8 PM, all pieces are for sale. Enjoy a night of art, craft beers and cocktails, and maybe a chat with artist herself. SAGE’s art will be on display in the taproom all month long.
