Join us Sunday for Cheril Walker’s Solo Exhibition Reception, 9/27 from 5-8 PM, all pieces are for sale. September’s featured artist, Cheril, aka the Gfell brothers’ Mom, has been an artist her entire life. Residing in the woods near Kent with her banjo making husband and 2 blue heelers, Cheril is inspired daily by the natural world that surrounds her. Having been a teacher of the visual arts for many years, Cheril recently left her position to devote her time to making art. Though skilled in a variety of media and techniques, Cheril’s focus of late has been on hand-built functional ceramics and the occasional collage. She believes in the therapeutic benefits of creating as well as living with art and is excited to offer “Art You Can Use” because everything’s better in a handmade dish. Enjoy a night of art, craft beers and cocktails, and maybe a chat with artist herself. Cheril’s art will be on display in the taproom all month long!
